In 1976 Julian and Mark built their first V8 equipped car. This Chevy Camaro had over three times as much horsepower as Mark was used to. He won dozens of races that year, including the Mid-Season Championship at Locust Grove. At the end of the season, Mark won the Tri-State Championship, a special year-end race at Locust Grove that drew the best regional drivers.
