2003 Roush Racing #99 Ford Craftsman Truck

In 2003, Jack Roush put Carl in the un-sponsored #99 Ford truck.  He raced the full season of twenty-five races and had three wins, thirteen top fives, fifteen top tens, and one pole.  His wins came at Kentucky, Indianapolis Raceway Park, and Nashville.  He finished the season eighth in points, and he won the Rookie-of-the-Year honors.
